I bring a pedigree, character, learning, and experience. These will contribute to developing our jurisprudence and enhance my work as a corporate director. I have been a prosecutor, defense counsel, litigator, transaction lawyer, arbitrator, and mediator. I have chaired several boards and audit committees for listed companies. In these roles, I have been involved in big-ticket commercial transactions, repositioning businesses, and overseeing management using my skills and experience. I have a strong academic and research background and commercial practice experience in various jurisdictions.

I have written several international arbitral awards. My experience will provide insights into commercial debates shaping company policies and actions. Those with legal experience are often not sufficiently immersed in commercial practice to be maximally helpful to managers dealing with business issues.Also, they may lack adequate cross-border experience to be able to think globally while acting locally. I hope to fill the gaps while being open to learning from the experiences of others.
